Neil deGrasse Tyson will keep museum job after sexual misconduct investigation
NEW YORK – Celebrity astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson will keep his job at New York's American Museum of Natural History after an investigation into "On Being Accused," that men accused of sexual impropriety in the #MeToo era are presumed guilty by the public for a variety of reasons, "most justified, some unjustified."
"In any claim, evidence matters. Evidence always matters," he wrote. "But what happens when it’s just one person’s word against another’s, and the stories don’t agree? That’s when people tend to pass judgment on who is more credible than whom. And that’s when an impartial investigation can best serve the truth – and would have my full cooperation to do so."
USA TODAY has reached out to Tyson's representative for comment.
