It is a somewhat ironic that you are asking for these stories now. I lost my brother to a car accident on June 11, 2007, so the time leading up to the anniversary of his death is always tender. But it always brings up awesome memories of our shared love of sports.
My brother, Lee, was 20 when he passed away. I was 17 and about to enter my senior year of high school. As I reflect on the time I had with my brother so many memories involve sports - professional and amateur.
I remember our first visit to Turner Field in 1996 with my mom and dad. The Braves lost to the Rockies 9-7, but I was a huge Andres "The Big Cat" Galaragga fan, so I was OK after he hit two 真人百家家乐官网网站home runs during the game. Even better when he joined the Braves two years later.
I remember my dad renting a projector and throwing up a giant bed sheet so we could watch the 1998 NBA Finals on the BIG SCREEN! MJ had never appeared so large to us as he did when he crossed up Bryon Russell on that white bed sheet.
I remember watching the Red Sox come back from three games down to beat the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS. My brother and I were in awe as the Red Sox went on to win the ALCS and then sweep the Cardinals to finally break the Curse of the Bambino.
I remember driving to every one of my brother's basketball games, 真人百家家乐官网网站home and away, and knowing that I wanted to be like him when I grew up.
He is gone now, but no one can ever take away all the memories we made watching our sports heroes, rejoicing when our teams won, and playing pickup in the driveway.
There is a special feeling that connects fans when their team wins. It is even better when you live in the same house with another fan and he is your big brother that you want to emulate.
These cherished memories are the reason I love sports!
