We really miss sports. So much so that during the pandemic we've asked ourselves a question: What was the moment or reason that we fell in love with sports in the first place?
This story below is from USA TODAY Sports' Nancy Armour. But we also want to hear (and share) your stories as well. Don't miss a memory by signing up for our daily newsletter, where we'll be spotlighting our stories – and yours – each week.

I didn’t fall in love with sports because of a specific game or player or team. I fell in love with them because of the guy who got me hooked.
As far back as I can remember, I watched Packers games with my Dad, Mickey. Every Sunday, without fail. My Dad would stretch out on the living room or basement floor in front of the TV and I’d flop down beside him. I don’t remember having discussions about plays or rules of the game or anything like that. I just remember hanging out with my Dad for two or three hours.
The team was godawful when I was a kid, with losing records in eight out of 10 seasons at one point, but still we watched. Mickey would grumble about bad plays and I’d ask how Bart Starr could have been such a great player but such a mediocre coach.
We watched other sports, too. My parents let me stay up to watch Marquette win the title in 1977, and I wore my championship T-shirt until it was in tatters.
One summer night when I was 5 or 6, my Dad took me to County Stadium on a whim for a Brewers game. (This was long before Mickey gave up on baseball during the 1994-95 strike.) We were standing in line to get tickets when a guy came up, told my Dad he had a couple of empty seats in his box and asked if we wanted to use them. He told my Dad he thought it was sweet he was taking his daughter to a game.
But it’s those Packers games that turned me into who I am and for that I have my Dad to thank.
