The Boston Bruins are considering Fenway Park as an option for 真人百家家乐官网网站home games next NHL season, the team told USA TODAY Sports via email Thursday.

“We are in consistent contact with the NHL as well as officials from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Boston, and are exploring all possible venue options for the upcoming season — including Fenway Park," the Bruins said in a statement. "At this point, we are in the exploratory phase.”

On Thursday, Sportsnet reported — under the caveat of "long shot" —  at least four NHL teams have explored potentially playing 真人百家家乐官网网站home games outdoors if it could allow them to host fans as the league confronts how to stage a season amid the coronavirus pandemic. The teams mentioned are the Pittsburgh Penguins, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks and Bruins.

Messages from USA TODAY Sports to the league and Penguins have not yet been returned. The Kings and Ducks said they would not comment on the report when reached by USA TODAY Sports.

Deputy commissioner Bill Daly told The Athletic last month that it was not likely games would be played outdoors, given the costs associated with staging those events.

It is also worth noting that current local COVID-19 protocols would not allow Anaheim or Los Angeles to hold these games.
